"Come, Watson, come!" he cried. "The game is afoot."
- Sherlock Holmes, The Adventure of The Abbey Grange

Don your deerstalker hat and cape for I Say, Holmes!, a card-driven romp through Victorian England that has you trying to come out on top of a Sherlock Holmes investigation. Some rounds you'll be playing the Great Detective himself as you attempt to arrest the villains, while other times you will be one of the criminals (from Colonel Moran to Professor Moriarty) trying to escape Holmes' grasp.

The first edition of I Say, Holmes! was named one of Toys Bulletin's Best of 2013, and this new version features completely new art alongside custom-shaped, laser-cut counters; we've brought all of our expertise to bear on making I Say, Holmes! into one of our most stunningly beautiful games yet.

Note: This game does not include the expansion kit which was part of the Kickstarter version. The expansion kit is sold separately here.

What's In The Box?:

• One 20-page, full-color Rules booklet
• 125 color, die-cut cards
• 36 thick, laser-cut, multi-shaped counter pieces (minor assembly required)

I Say, Holmes! 2nd Edition by RJ Cullen (Toys Bulletin)
The more we played the new version of the game, the more we wanted to play again. We loved the initial version of “I Say, Holmes,” and have even more praise for this one. It is visually stunning and we especially enjoyed the quotes from the Sherlock Holmes’ books featured on the bottom of many of the game cards. The rules and game play are much improved, yet it retains the simplicity of the original game. Although there is luck involved in winning the game, there are also strategic moves that can give the more seasoned player a slight advantage. “I Say, Holmes” continues to be a favorite of the Toys Bulletin staff.
“Excellent! I cried. “Elementary,” said he. by Chris Meeusen (Today in Board Games)
... The actual rounds themselves were smooth. At no point does the game suffer from analysis paralysis. The cards themselves and their actions are for the most part easily understood and not at all text heavy. The element that elevates this game beyond being merely enjoyable was the ability to card swap and trade hands....

I would argue that the best praise I can give “I Say, Holmes” is that it has great gateway game potential for the introduction of tabletop gaming to non-gamers without alienating its core demographic at the same time.
